Object
We looked at how presenting an artwork is important looking at the lighting, angle, scale and how gravity will effect the art piece and we created something taking these factor into account. I took some old toys and recreated scenes from a film looking at how the positions are familiar to me and how they could be to others.
Land
For land we looked and sand art and natural form such as dried moss, drift wood and stones to create an art piece. We worked with artist Molly Erin McCarthy and how she creates installations and digital spaces using symbols. I created a piece inspired by the ocean and its natural inhabitants I also liked the style of sand art and it make the art more valuable as it's all cleaned away after. The small details and object we could add to our pieces reminded me of a terrarium and how we're creating a little world out of natural materials.
Body
Looking at body we talked about the body and how it's constantly changing states over time and how our minds visualise this, being aware of our physical state. Also how the body communicates with the mind sending signals allowing it to react. We looked at a large film strip and used mark making to alter its state once projected. we did this by scratching away details and making a stop motion time line in different sections of the film. I decided to slowly at marks that over each frame accumulate more and more slowly covering the images, I also explored different details by highlighting them and making them more bold in the frames.
