I created some experimental collages inspired by artists that I was interested in and their styles like Justin Mortimer and Jennifer Packer and how their different artworks can represent a specific narrative or multiples ones from the viewer. And I wanted to try and create some sample collages playing with narrative examples using some of my favourite media, collage is one of my favourite forms of starting working as I'm basically brainstorming onto the page with my ideas and thoughts, I looked at the Ecological approach of field work and the formations of land and I used collage as well as drawing over the top making lots of interconnecting layers also using Archaeology and the natural layers within the earth and how they connect I separated the layers using colour but with the line art I still kept them connected. I was also inspired by artist Cy Twombly and how he uses mark making to create graffiti style paintings with strong, bright colours, his work showed lots of expression in the lines and strokes some lines were thicker and others were more faded and lighter.
