This approach was shown through The Box Gallery and how they store lots of historical records and artefacts in their archives. We also looked at old fashion film and how they transfer different film formats like projection reels to video tapes, and videos to disc. We were shown the old technology they use to make this possible and how even new digital software hasn't completely replaced the old fashion film methods.
They also had to keep some of their stored records at specific temperatures to slow down the aging process to stop things from deteriorating and getting damaged. I also was inspired by the way they organise products using a dating system, putting files into registered categories, making it easier to find specific information using a computer. This allows you to type any topic and the corresponding records about it would come up. I really liked the approach as it made things easier to access especially when storing a large body of information.
