There's what looks like a journey happening and using a sort of deep night black, in the forestry creates a contrast with the bright pale yellows of what could be explosions or fire burning the trees. Their hazmat suits make me think about a quest narrative approach at how they could be escaping from a toxic disease or parasite killing off the human race and their goal is to seek safe refuge.
The splatters and marks covering the piece show the chaos in the scene they look like embers from the fire. What are they avoiding? Or are they trying to escape from somewhere or something? They're surrounded by a forest showing that they travelled away from a location or civilisation and are moving on. On the left of the painting it has a layer of green tinted yellow covering the trees which could show the unknown sickness spreading behind them. It also maybe me think about what is missing from the painting such as signs there's no indication of where they are or path way showing what direction this piece really made question a lot and want to look deeper into the imagery.
